Whether you're visiting to walking, cycle or take to the water, you'll find it all here.  We offer secure space for visitors wanting to store bikes, kayaks etc.  Windermere is just four miles from us and there are many walks from the door we can recommend, with some including a pub!  We'll be happy to offer tips and advice for great local walks or you can plan ahead with resources like this.

We're very lucky in this part of the Lakes to have some exceptional places to dine right on our doorstep, including the newly opened Heft at High Newton, plus a choice of eateries in Cartmel, including the famous L'Enclume.  Also lovely is Yew Tree Barn which is almost next door to us and offers lunches, cakes and occasional themed evening dining.  Alternatively click here for even more ideas.
